Parade II
Medium: Calico, Eco Hand Dyed Cotton, Repurposed Wool Yarn
Size: 34cm x 24cm Unframed
Inspired by the geographies of Historical coastal waste sites. Working with natural dye stuffs, repurposed fabrics, yarn frogged from sweaters destined for landfill and waste from Knitwear Industry. Both the Textile Mediums, and Hand Quilting/Stitching techniques prompt us to link where consumption intersects with the Natural World. Based on Historic maps of the area in question, the piece dissects the landscape of local Natural Wildlife spot Princes Parade in Seabrook, Kent. Site of a Historical Coastal Landfill Site and contentious development site.
Exhibited: Fox Yard Studio’s. September 2024.
Fourth Wall: Sick of It
Ceramic, Hand Dyed Cotton, Cotton Floss, Foil

Exhibited: Fourth Wall Sick Of It, April 2026.

Zandra Rhodes: Colourful Heritage
Working with The University for Creative Arts and The Lottery Heritage Fund I created workshops inspired by Dame Zandra Rhodes’ innovative use of paper moulage. By drawing and painting out her print designs onto large pieces of paper, she then draped and folded to create large scale fashion paper designs.
Money was funded through the Lottery Heritage Fund to support Young People in the Medway area. This is an area of Young People from Under-Privileged backgrounds in the POLAR4 Quintile 1 Catchment, who are also Under Represented within Higher Education. the project aims to inspire and encourage creativity and understand of creative jobs. Alongside this the Young People got to explore Zandra’s Archive of historic and iconic work, including all of the prints and fashion designs she has created.
I created and delivered workshops designed to enable Young Participants to build their own designs, exploring print ideas and silhouette just like Dame Zandra has done.
